Create a high-performance culture, and measurable success.

Fulfill the mission, achieve the vision, and reach the strategic goals.

Evidence-Based Leadership Program

for Your Leadership Team

TO PROVE, AND TO IMPROVE, YOUR STRATEGIC IMPACT....

Leading an organization to high-performance is not about getting things done. Ticking boxes is not evidence of impact. We get evidence of impact only by measuring results or outcomes:

Firstly, it’s important to objectively prove that the organization’s mission is being fulfilled, its vision is being realized, and its strategic goals are being achieved.

Secondly, it’s important to improve the organization’s systems and processes, to increase strategic impact, through high-leverage initiatives.

TOO OFTEN, STRATEGY HAS NO MEASURABLE IMPACT....

It’s very common for leaders to struggle to measure and prove the impact of their strategy:

Strategy is hard to measure meaningfully, because it’s so broad and intangible.

Strategic initiatives and improvement projects don’t show direct contribution to strategy.

People are not engaged in aligning their results to the corporate strategy.

EVIDENCE-BASED LEADERS KNOW

IT’S NOT ABOUT HOW TO LEAD, IT’S ABOUT WHAT TO LEAD

  • What to focus on

  • What to monitor

  • How to move an organization from guessing, to knowing, and performing

  • How to create a culture of high-performance and measurable success.

Evidence-based leadership means practicing and inspiring

the habits of high-performance.

THREE LEADERSHIP HABITS

There are three leadership habits of high-performance that Executives practice and master, to lead an organization that performs with excellence what it exists to do:

Direction: Setting a measurable strategy

Evidence: Meaningfully measuring what matters

Execution: Executing strategy through leverage

THREE ORGANIZATIONAL HABITS

And there are three organizational habits of high-performance that Executives inspire, embed and support to build an engaged, high-performance culture throughout the organization:

Decision: Everyone owning the strategy

Action: Everyone getting the right things done

Learning: Everyone turning failure into success

Evidence-Based Leadership is the roadmap to fulfill your mission, realize your vision, and achieve your strategic goals, sooner and with less effort.

THE EVIDENCE-BASED LEADERSHIP PROGRAM IS WHERE TO START

The Evidence-Based Leadership (EBL) framework is detailed in Stacey Barr’s book, Prove It!

And it is the methodology that underpins the design of the EBL Program.

The EBL program consists of training followed by current status diagnostic discussion and then a 2-day Strategic KPI Immersion Workshop.   On-site and virtual options are available for your leadership team.

EBL Training

(1-Day)

The EBL training gives you the practical skills for each EBL habit so you can clarify, measure, cascade and execute your strategic direction, with deep engagement from managers and staff organization-wide. The training is a combination of discussion, case studies, and practical frameworks.

EBL Diagnostic

(1/2 Day)

The EBL Diagnostic is a structured discussion to understand and agree on the current strengths and opportunities for improving the clarity, measurability, and readiness of execution of your strategic direction to customize your EBL Immersion workshop.

Strategic KPI Immersion

(2-Day)

The 2-Day Strategic KPI Immersion follows the EBL Training. We make your corporate strategy more measurable and easier to communicate, we design measures for it, and we plan the implementation of your EBL habits organization-wide.

Program Includes

  • Online, self-paced EBL training to fit leaders’ schedules (~ 1/2 day in total), including Workbook.  On-site and virtual options are available for your leadership team

  • Expert facilitation of the leaders’ interactive EBL workshops (time investment depends on the package selected)

  • A mentoring session with your facilitator following your workshops

Outcomes
  • Strategic goals that are measurable and easier to communicate

  • First iteration of your organization’s results map

  • Meaningful measures for the strategic goals that are evidence of the results

"In 40 years of service this was the best training for strategy, leadership, and performance I have seen."

Senior Manager, U.S. Federal Defense Agency

"I believe that the best strategies and goals are derived from deep analysis such as that required by this process."

"This was the best integration of performance and strategy I have ever seen. Many models and courses say we need measures, but this is the only one that provides a process and toolset to actually develop a coherent set of meaningful measures for our strategy."

Director of Strategic Planning and Performance, U.S. Federal Defense Agency

"We used to sit is a room for a day or 2 and develop a list of goals.  But now we realize that is not strategy"

Senior Officer, DoD

"We’ve tried for years to accomplish what we just did in 2 days! We should have had this conversation years ago. Now all 12 of us can tell the same story of our strategy. Not just the CEO! It's strengthened the focus in our organisation about what matters most."
